Have You Seen...

Ok guys, now that I'm home I can commit to a more regular blogging schedule. I've tried this in the past, and failed but not this time! I love sharing my Have You Seen... posts and hope to bring it back regularly again.

Speaking of planning, need some ideas to get your planner set up? Just Make Stuff has some good ideas to get you going.

Photoshop is my life! But sometimes you can't afford it because it can be a little pricey. Violet from Blythe Ponytail Parades created a quickie DIY tutorial to make your OWN Photoshop, you gotta see it. :)

And being that it's April, how about a calendar to print out from Lucky Number Seven Studio

Have You Seen

Friday is finally here and I couldn't be happier.  This week has been a wintery mess and I had to spend a couple of nights in the city which has thrown me for a loop.  I'm ready to take a break from being in the city for a couple of days (again). I'm so over it.  So I'll end this week with another Have You Seen post...in case you missed it ;)

This was just posted at Inside My Hideaway yesterday and I wanted to squeeze this in  because it's just too cool of a tutorial not to share. Mary shares how to convert your storage boxes to look like vintage luggage. I wanna do this!

Speaking of storage, Design*Sponge always has gold content! You'll find a lot of pin-worthy ideas in their post 52 Brilliant Ideas for Organizing Your Home.

This looks like a fun book to have in your craft library - read this review of Craft A Day book review from Hugs Are Fun.

Oh my god you guys, how cute is this Printable Snow Bunny Sticky Holder from Wild Olive???

Have a great weekend everyone!

Have You Seen...

Today I have a fun mix of stuff to share that you may not have seen but I hope you enjoy!

I came across this article about this abandoned Paris apartment that was recently discovered. It's a fascinating story with amazing photos of what was found inside.

I thought this was a great idea that I wanted to share from Hannah of The Homesteady - How To Love Winter. Sometimes we get caught up with the negative of this season that we don't appreciate what we enjoy about winter.  Free download to make your own list too!

Speaking of free, how about a free Valentine Crochet Pattern from the Monster Maker and my friend Jess from Knot by Gran'ma? You can't go wrong with that!

One more download that's not free but definitely worth the price tag if you want to taking your blogging to the next level.  I just purchased How To Double Your Blog Traffic In 90 Days just the other day and it's really inspiring!  I absolutely love Sarah's blog and greatly admire her knowledge and insight, not just for web design, but in being an enterpreneur.

Have You Seen...

Happy Friday! Some time has passed since I last posted a HYS post so it's about time to share some more great finds from my browsing of blog friends and more. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

I'm loving these new digital designs from Kelsi from Brighter Sides. I once tried experimenting with Illustrator making drawings. It was bad. Really bad.

The lovely ladies from Freckled Nest are back with another great e-course. Just in time to get your year started right. Check out Planner Camp!  It begins next week.

How genius are these Rainy Pots? They maintain indoor plants as if they were grown outside to slowly distribute water and not rot the roots.  Great for people who would like a plant but don't think they have a green thumb.

And last, I wanted to share this Etsy shop from a fellow Hudson Valley Etsy team member who will be leaving us soon and is having a huge sale in her shop STRUCTUREBags.

Have You Seen...

Happy Monday! I'm back with another Have You Seen... installment, it's been a while!  Here's some stuff I've recently come across that made me think "Oooooh! Must share!!" :)

Set of Holiday House ornaments from Everyday Is A Holiday - how adorable are these?

A tutorial on how to make Fabric Covered Storage Boxes from Five Sixteenths

Preparing Your Blog For The Holidays from La Caseta de Paper because it is a crazy time of year, it's good to plan ahead!

Have You Seen...

This month I was coming across a lot of super cool stuff I just couldn't wait to share here for Have You Seen.  Hope you enjoy!

Adorable shop updates from Inside My Hideaway.

This beautiful home featured on SF Girl By Bay.

The latest pretties from Decorative Country Living.

The Fall Lookbook from Ruche, One Fine Day

This season, Ruche is inspired by the elegant refinement of 1950's fall fashion and the retro charm of the 60's.  I'm all over this!  :)

Have You Seen....

It's time for some more Have You Seen goodness.

The furniture makeovers going on at Habitual Homebody?  Makes me feel like that chick in the commercial (is it Benjamin Moore?) that wants to goes to find something else to paint after painting her walls.

These super cute illustrations on how to trim your bangs from Brighter Sides.  I haven't had bangs since the 20th century. My hair is just too curly/wavy/annoying for bangs I think. Plus you may not tell from that picture of me up there but my forehead is pretty small.

How To Start A Blog over at SillyGrrl.com - seriously this is a topic that never gets old and we all should be reminded of what our intentions should be.  Just because there are a trilagazillion blogs out there, it shouldn't deter you from starting one if you really want to.

Have You Seen....

By the time you read this, I'll be stomping the pavements of NYC on a little mini-vacation (it's the only vacations I seem to take).  So why not end the week with another installment of Have You Seen...

This yarn bombed train because HOLY CRAP!!!

Lisa Congdon just came back from her honeymoon in Paris and shared some drawings from her sketchbook while she was there. I was blown away.  It gives a small taste of what she must have been experiencing. Love! ♥

Ok a quick Typepad plug! They just released a new layout called LOFT and it's so pretty! I wish I could use it on my blog but this layout is more geared for photo-heavy blogs.  It's great if you love photography and show off pictures you've taken.  I'm also pretty happy with my current layout. :)

And finally, have you listened to the new podcast from Fresh Rag? It's some really good, no-nonsense, kick in the pants talkin' to about getting your creative business in to shape.

Have a great weekend!

Have You Seen.....

I'm back with another installment of Have You Seen....where I share some findings in my regular blog reads that's worth mentioning.

There's a free download iron-on from One Sheepish Knit. Sorry folks, sweet treats are not included. :)

So tell me, what do you think of the new Flickr layout? Yay? Nay?

Screen shot 2013-05-21 at 10.45.15 AMI feel like images are becoming more important than words.  People love to share pictures of just about anything. I've been on Flickr since 2006 and I don't really use it as much as I use to (thanks Instagram) but it still gets updated.  It has yet to grow on me though.  Screen shot 2013-05-26 at 11.56.15 AM
Sarah from SillyGrrl has a new e-book Nerd Party for you code lovers. I started following her blog a few months and I love her spin and insight on techie stuff. :)

Liana from Mixed Plate has opened a new Etsy shop selling her designed rubber stamps. No diggity.

Have a great weekend!

Have You Seen.....

During my little blogging slump, I was trying to think of new ideas for the blog. Things are slowing down in the shop so I don't always have something new to share every week. Besides DIY Tutorials, I come across great material from other blogs that are super amazing and worth sharing.  So here's my first installment! In case you missed it, have you seen....

The latest issue of Rue Magazine? I especially enjoyed the feature with Kirsten Grove. I desperately need a bedroom makeover.

Of course I downloaded the new app from A Beautiful Mess! And now you want some bread pudding too don't you? It's from my favorite restaurant in Fishkill - Tomato Cafe.

This amazing cake from Kait's Surprise Tea Birthday Party for her friend.

And last, the way Jenna from Kitty Cat Stevens stores her colorful collection of tights. Not exactly a tutorial but still a brilliant idea. I keep all of mine balled up in a small clear shoebox.  They're pretty mushed together.

This was fun to put together, hope you liked it!  Looking forward to share more soon!
