I went for another walk yesterday, it was close to 70 degrees in New York. I didn't even bring my coat with me.  I came across a cute little coffee shop I never knew existed.

Again, off the beaten path. Very charming and good Iced Coffee. These little guys were outside when I left. Looks like they were waiting for their orders.

I'm sure I'll be back at this place soon. Hopefully I'll be able to sit down and enjoy a bite to eat.

I'm pretty lucky that I get to enjoy the "big city" but also go home to where it's a little more laid back. I grew up in the city and remember when it was grittier and cooler.  I don't mind not living there anymore but I like having the convenience of a place to stay when I need it (thanks Mom & Pop!).  

Where I live, the city folks go to for weekend getaways. It's my home.  I mean seriously, this is what I see every morning on my train ride to work...

New York is more than just Manhattan, Brooklyn, Skyscrapers and Hipster Transplants.

So it IS Friday and I'd like share to one of my latest treasuries...

Fashion Inspired Etsy Treasury

It is purely a coincidence that almost one year ago, I posted an Etsy Treasury inspired by the dress I happen to be wearing that day.  The other day I wore another favorite dress.  Can you believe I got this at JC Penney? (before their makeover):

You can tell from my face that I am not use to posting pictures like this. Trying to follow Rachele from The Nearsighted Owl's lead in posting more full body pictures (I'm sponsoring her blog this month, check her out once you're done here :D).

Anyhoo, it's hard to tell from this picture as it's not the easiest to photograph but the dresss is brown with bursts of white, lime green and teal. It's a great color combination. So why not make another dress inspired treasury using these colors?

Treasury Love & No Love From Etsy Sales

I've been fortunate to find some of my items a part of some really cool treasuries.  Here are two of them.

Since joining the Top Treasury & Avid Treasurer teams, my views and favorites have shot through the roof!  Yay right? Well I struggle getting those views to equal sales.

I've only had two sales in the month of January where last January I had eight.  I sold an item the first week of January and I got excited thinking this year would be off to a good start.  I'm not ready to throw in the towel by any means.  I continue to wonder if my prices are still too low and if people are turned off by it?  I can't go any lower. I raised my prices a little this year but I just don't feel comfortable going higher.  Am I letting my insecurity get in the way? When I offer coupon codes that people hardly use, it makes me question if there is still an interest. 

Sorry I'm not looking for a pity party and compliments on my shop. I love what I make, I just wish my online sales were more steady.   Anyone else find themselves in a similiar funk? How did you get out of it?

Goodness! I haven't shared a What I ♥ post since JULY! And it's been a few weeks since I shared some treasuries so let's just mesh the two shall we? It is Friday afterall and that's usually Treasury time around these parts.  In this instance, I want to share a couple of treasuries I recently made both with the similiar theme: FALL!

Friday! And what makes this Friday even more pleasant is that I'm HOME!  I took a Summer Day so no trip down to the city today, woohoo!

My Big Green Rose Ring has been getting some treasury love lately

This ring was on Etsy's front page earlier this year.  It has a ton of hearts but it is still available.  A little background story about this ring and all of my Big Rose rings, they are all made by my boyfriend Mike.  He uses liquid plastic which he cast in a mold and then he'll hand paint them whatever color I request - because his art desk has just about every color you can imagine.  He paints, seals it and when ready, I attach them to a ring base.  So it's still handmade but mostly by him. If you would like a Big Rose Ring in a particular color you don't see listed please let me know, there's a good chance I can make it happen for you. :)

Happy Friday! This week seemed particularly long but I'm so happy for today. This weekend there will be a Bead Expo just down the street that I'm looking forward to. I always come out of there with some good stuff which you'll eventually see in the shop.

Speaking of the shop, I have a *BIG* annoucement I will be making on Monday. I hope you'll check back to see what it is.

So excited for this weekend! Saturday I'm going to be making a trip up to Kingston, NY to stop by my favorite art gallery, Cornell St Studios.  Sunday I will be hanging out with the Hudson Valley Etsy Team right in my town of Fishkill as they have their first outdoor craft fair. No superstitions today, I have a few reasons to be in a good mood:

1) I'm only working half a day today.

2) Later today I'm going to The Metropolitan Museum of Art to check out the new exhibit Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty shut up! I'm excited!  The Met is one of my most favorite places to spend the day.  Even if this exhibit wasn't show, I would still be excited to go.

Friday Treasuries 4.22

Tomorrow is my first event of 2011 with the Hudson Valley Etsy Team.  We are having our Spring Craft Fair at the Howland Culture Center in Beacon, NY.  I am excited.  I haven't sold in person since early December. As exhausting as it is, I still like doing it. Plus I'll be spending the day with my teammates so even if it's a slow day, I still get to hang out with my friends. :)

Here are some more treasuries I wanted to share for this week. I have to admit, I did not really start getting into treasuries until last year. Before that, it was such a rarity that I was ever included in one. I think as I started to do more of them, others would find me that way and return the favor.
