Jewelry Maker | Blogger | Music Snob | Not-So-Crafty Crafter
Hi I'm Marilyn and you've found my little home on the web. I live in Fishkill, NY in the Hudson Valley region just north of NYC with my boyfriend Mike (see his artwork above). In the real world I work full-time in Human Resources but Pulp Sushi (Etsy shop and blog) is my passion.
Besides making jewelry, I enjoy things like reading blogs while drinking a large coffee, listening to music (from Sinatra to Slayer, Tom Waits to Testament, She & Him to Social Distortion), enjoying low-brow art, movies (horror, 70s, 80s, anything with Vincent Price), wrestling, baseball, and trying to make things with yarn.
Before you go any further, I know you're wondering - you can read the background story on the name in this blog post.

All of the jewelry you see posted for Pulp Sushi was handmade by me in various parts of my livingroom/dining area. I hope one day to have a pretty workroom to show you.
This blog is a mix of personal snippets of my daily life, Etsy shop updates, behind the scenes business stuff, craft book reviews, my struggle in learning how to knit/crochet/embroider and new things to fall in love with whether it's something to wear, show off in your home or otherwise. This blog was Featured Blog on Typepad in August 2011 (thank you!). Hope you enjoy your stay!
