If you're in New York, some more items have been delivered to Karmabee in Kingston and Blackbird Attic in Beacon. One of my goals for this year is to get into more retail stores. It doesn't have to be in New York state but it would be nice. If you know of a cute shop in your town you think my jewelry would look good in, send me a note or leave a comment.
I've never put together an actual Gift Guide for my blog before, and what better time to do one than for Valentine's Day? Inspired by a Motorhead song none the less!

Needs a new approach in a relationship?
Wabi Sabi Love: The Ancient Art of Finding Perfect Love in Imperfect Relationships by Arielle Ford is a pleasant read about this ancient concept but with a modern day twist to help partners develop and sustain love that lives vibrantly past the "honeymoon phase". A lot of personal testimonies are shared which helps bring the message home.

I hope you enjoyed my Valentine's Day picks!
Yesterday I decided that I wanted to host a giveaway, a BIG giveaway for Valentine's Day. I put out the call on Twitter and Facebook to see if any sellers would be interested in participating and now I'm asking you. The giveaway will be held next month and open to everyone (domestic & international).
Please email me at marilyn @ pulpsushi.com (no spaces) if you are interested in participating. It can be an item, a gift certificate, an e-course, e-book, ad space, a service provided, whatever you'd like. I'd like this to huge and full of LOVE ♥.
Who says that Etsy Jewelry folks don't purchase from other Jewelry sellers? Hogwash I say!!! Recently I felt the urge to treat myself to a gift, a New Year's gift to myself. It has been a LONG time since I purchased something on Etsy that wasn't supplies or a gift for someone else so I wanted something for me. I wanted earrings. Dangly earrings are the one thing I cannot leave the home without wearing. And now that I have super short hair, they stand out even more.
I love the sea. I would very much like to be a mermaid. I confess that I find math soothing. I love equations, formulas, and crossword puzzles.
I received an email from Hellocotton this morning introducing themselves and wanting to show me how an account with them would look like. They took the liberty of setting up an account for me already and when I logged in, I Ooooh'd and Aaaaaah'd.
Hellocotton started its adventure in France with Hellocoton.fr which has been a huge success among the French audience and bloggers. They are now taking this success story to the next level with a US / English speaking version of Hellocoton France: Hellocotton.com. This is geared specifically to women bloggers and building a community.
It's a neat tool to have to promote your blog and discover other inspiring blogs to follow. It's not quite like Bloglovin' where you can add any blogs to follow. You can only follow blogs which are in Hellocotton but it can't hurt to encourage others to join. :) If you sign up, you can follow me here : Pulp Sushi @ Hellocotton
A new necklace was added to the shop today, Flapper Girl Odyssey. I made it this past weekend while snowed in. Totally on a whim and it's my spin on Steampunk. I'm a big fan of the style and have wanted to make something inspired by it for a while now but I wanted to do it right. I didn't want to just take random watch parts and stick them together, there's more to it than that. And I wanted it to still look Pulp Sushi.
I'm not going to pretend that I'm some sort of Steampunk expert, but I love the fashion & art. It's dark, it's sexy, it's macabre and beautiful. One of my most favorite things is when a style is given a quirky twist.
The Flapper Girl was a thought I've been playing around with for a while and thought the bead strands would work well together. The necklace is a mix of antiqued finish brass, gunmetal, freshwater pearls, czech glass, and onyx beads.
My current sale of 20% off your Etsy purchase can also be applied to new items like this necklace, just use coupon code LOVEU20 at checkout.
Last Thursday I did something drastic and chopped off ALL of my hair! I've had my hair short before, but never this short.
I just needed a serious break from my high-maintenance hair. When you have fine, curly/wavy hair that frizzes easy, it can be a real pain in the toosh every morning. I was just wearing it up most of the time. Plus I wanted to do something drastically different with my appearance. I'm happy!
So did anyone else get snow this weekend?
This is what I woke up to Saturday morning. Good thing we had no plans and just stayed in all weekend! It was pretty nice actually, quite relaxing. I caught up with some knitting and my crocheting is coming along nicely. I will share some pictures soon.
For this week's Friday Etsy Treasury post, I thought I'd do something a little different.
I found out yesterday that one of the treasuries I made was featured on Etsy Treasury Hunter
My Blue Paradise treasury I put together for the Avid Treasurers team for one of their challenges. Happy news for a Friday! :)
I ready to get back on the DIY Love Train and share more fun tutorials I've come across. I haven't posted any since LAST YEAR! I know, it was only a few weeks. Let's kick off 2012 with some of these fun projects!
Fortune Cookie Cat Toy Tutorial from Dandelions & Lace
Make a Tie Cuff from Freckled Nest
Poster Art from ♥ Elycia - what a cute idea! Thinking about maybe doing this with old greeting cards that are just sitting in a shoe box in my closet.
New bags from Gnorasaurus
New clutches from H+J Star Creations
More Enchanted Side Show items were added to Etsy too
You can check them out at pulpsushi.etsy.com (will be added to the online store too)
